Ford Manufacturer Warranty and Specialty Repair Services and OEM and Branded Parts for York Regional Police

The Regional Municipality of York Police Service Board has issued Request for Tender T-26-50 for the provision of Ford manufacturer warranty, specialty repair services, and the supply of OEM and branded parts for the York Regional Police fleet in East Gwillimbury. This solicitation is strictly limited to authorized Ford dealerships in Canada that are in good standing with the Ford of Canada Dealer Sales and Service Agreement. The contract is structured as a firm fixed price agreement with an initial one-year term starting December 1, 2026, and includes options for two additional two-year renewals at the Board's discretion. Award is based on the lowest actual cost to the Board, with pricing for parts determined by a percentage discount off the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price. The scope of work includes comprehensive vehicle maintenance, specialty repairs, and minor auto body work, all of which must be performed by Licensed Automotive Technicians certified under 310-S or 310-T by the Ontario College of Trades. Key requirements include maintaining an inventory of critical parts, providing detailed invoicing that separates labor and parts, and ensuring all replacement parts carry at least a one-year manufacturer's warranty. The contractor must adhere to strict security and compliance standards, including YRP security clearances for all personnel, WSIB compliance, and AODA training. Additionally, the contractor must maintain significant insurance coverage, including five million dollars in third-party liability and two hundred fifty thousand dollars for damage to customer automobiles.
