Full Description

This notice is taking the place of a notice that was posted 4/10/2009 under the number of AG-04GG-S-09-0021. The new presolicitation number is now AG-04N0-S-09-0004-DES. The same announcement is posted under the Ochoco National Forest as AG-04N0-S-09-0004 and the Fremont/Winema National Forest will have this same presolicitation notice posted under AG-04N0-S-09-0004-FreWin. AG-04N0-S-09-0004 Ochoco National Forest AG-04N0-S-09-0004-Des Deschutes National Forest AG-04N0-S-09-0004-FreWin Fremont/Winema National Forest ALL INFORMATION REGARDING THIS FOREST ENGINEERING AND ROAD MAINTENANCE PRESOLICITATION AND SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED USING THE NUMBERS ABOVE. This solicitation will be for Forest Engineering and Road Maintenance Services. The typical types of services included are: road surface maintenance, roadside brushing, road reconstruction and decommissioning, asphalt surface treatments, asphalt pavement grinding, minor road construction, minor structures, stream restoration and rehab, major structures, pit development and crushing, and hazard tree removal. The list is representative but not inclusive of all work that may be required by task order(TO/BPA). Task orders/BPA will most often be issued on a lump sum quantity basis or as identified within the - Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (FP03) http://www.wfl.fha.dot.gov/design/specs/fp03.htm. This contract will be a multiple-award task order(TO)/BPA type contract with no minimum guarantees. The TO/BPA's issued under this contract shall require Service Contract Act wage rates or Davis-Bacon Wage rates or both depending on the specific activities within the TO/BPA. The project areas that are included in this solicitation are: Deschutes National Forest, Ochoco National Forest, Fremont/Winema National Forests and the Prineville District of the Bureau of Land Management (which includes the Deschutes Zone, John Day Basin Zone, North Lakeview Zone and the South Lakeview Zone), and the Klamath District of the Bureau of Land Management. The solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about April 27, 2009.
