The City of Bettendorf, Iowa, Parks and Recreation Department is seeking qualified professional architectural and planning firms to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study for Forest Grove Park. The study aims to develop a preferred concept plan and provide a detailed opinion of probable costs to guide the park’s next phase of development, building upon the original master plan completed in 2012 and subsequent phases that included playgrounds, shelters, courts, and site grading. The recent opening of a $60 million sports complex adjacent to the park presents new opportunities and necessitates a reassessment of the park’s future, with an emphasis on aligning development with community needs and regional growth. The selected firm must demonstrate expertise in feasibility analysis, cost estimation, and public space concept planning to ensure the park’s evolution meets the demands of a rapidly expanding community. Proposals must be submitted by June 16, 2025, either electronically via email or through a downloadable link, with specific instructions for hard copies and contact details provided. The selection process involves evaluation by a committee, with the top-ranked firms invited for interviews. The project’s contract value is estimated between $50,000 and $200,000, and the process emphasizes timely proposal submission, with all costs associated with proposal preparation borne by the submitting firms. Inquiries regarding the RFQ are to be directed in writing to the Parks and Recreation Director, with responses to questions issued via addendum.
