Dillberry Lake Provincial Park is a 2,990-acre park near the Alberta-Saskatchewan border, approximately 20 km southeast of the Town of Chauvin. In July 2026, a tornado passed through the park, resulting in significant damage to some park infrastructure and critical service disruptions. Appendix 2 provides a map of the Project Area. Much of the park's infrastructure was build in 1975 and requires assessment to determine its current condition and renewal requirements. Buildings are aging and no longer meet Crown land infrastructure design standards or visitor expectations. Dillberry Lake Provincial Park comprises of a campground (Loops A, B, C) with 75 powered campsites 8 unserviced campsites, one group-use area, two day-use areas, a trail network and sub-surface utility infrastructure (potable water distribution systems, wastewater system and electrical servicing (pedestals include both 15- and 30-amp service). Park infrastructure also includes a registration booth/camp store, a firewood shed, an operations shop, 4 storage garages, 1 storage quonset, 1 staff residence building, 2 shower buildings, one day use change house/vault toilet building, 2 open air cook shelter buildings, day use parking lots, a boat launch and dock, waterfront amenities (fish cleaning stations and a lifejacket loaner booth) and throughout the park water spigots and vault toilets. A comprehensive Park Infrastructure Assessment is needed to ascertain the current condition and function of all above and below ground park infrastructure and develop Class D cost estimates for recommended refurbishment or replacement. Roadways within the provincial park, campsite amenities (fire rings, picnic tables, benches), playgrounds and the vault toilet at the campground beach day use, as well as abandoned vault toilets and pumphouses are excluded from the scope of work. Review existing assessment documentation where available; perform desktop review and targeted visual verification to validate current baseline conditions. Refer to the RFP document for additional information and complete scope of work.
