Formulatrix NT8

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), intends to intends to negotiate on a sole source basis and award a purchase order, for the NT8, including a one year warranty, installation, and training for hardware and software usage. Award is to be made to Formulatrix, Inc., 10 DeAngelo Drive, Bedford, MA 01730, under the authority of (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1. "(b) Soliciting from a single source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The corresponding NAICS code is 541711-Research and Development in Biotechnology and the small business size standard is 500 Employees. The basis for the sole source determination: The sole source determination is based upon the fact that Formulatrix, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the NT8. Only Formulatrix technicians are trained to install, and service, the hardware and software of this equipment. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. Written responses shall reference this Notice of Intent No. NIHLM2015596 and may be submitted electronically NO LATER THAN 10:00 A.M. EASTERN STANDARD TIME to April Merriwether, Contract Specialist at: merriwetheran@mail.nih.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
