Overton Brooks VA Medical Center located at 510 East Stoner Avenue, Shreveport LA, requires a contract for Institutional Review Board (IRB) services and intends to enter into a sole source contract with LSU Health Sciences Center, 1501 Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for a one year period from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. The anticipated date of award is September 15, 2015. The IRB is required by Federal Law and will comply with the Terms of the Federalwide Assurance for Institutions within the United States. The service must be carried out by basic ethical principles guiding research involving human subjects that are provided in the Nuremberg Code, the Declaration of Helsinki, and the Belmont Report. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541711 applies, size standard is 500 employees. This information is only used for classification purposes in the representation and certification portion of the Request for Proposal (RFP). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
