Fort Ross State Historic Park Kashia Loop Trail

The California Department of Parks and Recreation is executing the Fort Ross State Historic Park Kashiia Loop Cultural Trail project under Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-SON-56439-R3. Located in Sonoma County at 19005 Highway 1, Jenner, California, the project involves the construction of a public trail featuring a 28-foot-long by 5-foot-wide wooden pedestrian bridge over an intermittent drainage and a boardwalk system consisting of a 16-foot-long by 5-foot-wide wooden bridge and two 14-foot-long puncheons crossing a wetland drainage complex. Technical specifications require all footings to be placed outside of the channel and above the top of bank or outside of the wetland drainage, utilizing wood timber sills measuring 16 inches wide and 8 feet long in 10-inch-deep trenches.
