Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (FPI) has compiled its FY 2009 Market Share Report as mandated by 18 U.S.C., Section 4122. The report analyzes FPI's portion of Federal procurements across various Federal Supply Classification (FSC) codes for which sales were recorded during the fiscal year. Following a Board of Directors’ resolution, FPI assessed the three-year average market share of each FSC it produces to determine if it meets or exceeds the 20 percent threshold. FSC codes meeting or surpassing this threshold are designated as non-mandatory on the Schedule of Products, while those below 20 percent are categorized as mandatory. For FY 2009, no new FSC codes have reached the 20 percent market share, and specific FSCs 6020, 6230, 7210, and 7240, which were previously non-mandatory, have fallen below the threshold and reverted to mandatory status. The report is publicly accessible, and requests for it can be directed to the Chief of the Marketing, Research and Corporate Support Branch at FPI’s Washington, DC office. The contract is associated with solicitation number SBDM-10-2010 under NAICS code 339999, and Yvette K Hairston-Mercer serves as the point of contact for inquiries.

Pursuant to legislative requirements, 18 U.S.C., Section 4122, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (FPI) has prepared its FY 2009 Market Share Report. The report details FPI's share of Federal procurements within each Federal Supply Classification (FSC) code for which FPI recorded sales during FY 2009. In accordance with the Board of Director's 20 percent resolution, FPI has evaluated the three year market share of each FSC produced by FPI, to determine if the market share reaches 20 percent or higher. At this time, there are no new FSCs that exceed the 20 percent average for three years.
