The U.S. Air Force, through the 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the new manufacture of a turbine frame assembly identified by NSN 2840-01-685-4338PR and part number 1461M87G26, intended for the F110 engine platform. This effort, classified under NAICS 336412 with a size standard of 1,500 employees, is not a solicitation and does not represent a commitment to award a contract or allocate funds; it is strictly for gathering industry capability data to inform future acquisition strategies, including potential segmentation by airframe or set-asides for small businesses, 8(a) firms, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, HUBZone entities, and women-owned small businesses. Interested vendors must opt in via the “Add Me to Interested Vendors” button to participate in this market research initiative. Capabilities sought include full-cycle manufacturing of the specified part—covering component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and logistics—with potential responsibility for nonrecurring engineering, supply chain management, mitigation of diminishing manufacturing sources, and long-lead procurement. The estimated spares requirement window spans June 26 to September 26, 2026, and responses are due by July 23, 2026, Central Standard Time. The primary point of contact for submissions is the 421st SCMS workflow email, and all correspondence must be directed there; inquiries for a formal solicitation will not be addressed. The effort aligns with FAR Part 10 and is administered under the Air Force Sustainment Center, with all activity tied to the Department of the Air Force and the Department of Defense.
