Full Description

DLA Aviation Richmond intends to award a sole source contract to Starrag USA, Incorporated for three each 6-axis Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) high speed propeller profilers with all accessories, installation, training, and data requirements necessary to bring the profilers into service. Individual foundations will be required for each profiler with the contractor responsible for a turn-key installation. The design of the sixth head is proprietary to Starrag USA, Inc. and the computer-aided design (CAD) model used in the design is classified. The Navy has advised that the CAD model will not be declassified for competitors to use in designing new models. Interested parties with high-level security clearance and the background and knowledge to assist Starrag in providing turn-key installation, including with training and foundations, may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than the stated closing date/time. Place of performance is the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Detachment Naval Foundry and Propeller Center. Responses should be not exceed ten (10) one-sided 8.5 x 10 inch pages with a font that is no smaller than 10 point as this is not a request for a proposal but only a request for submission of a vendor's capability to perform the requirement.
