Background.  Gillem Enclave is home to the Defense Forensic Science Center, the 81st Regional Support Command, Military Entrance Processing Station, Georgia National Guard Readiness Center, and many other Army, Department of Defense and Government organizations. Gillem Enclave is located in Georgia, Clayton County, city of Forest Park and consists of approximately 250 acres and 24 buildings.  The population base consists of approximately 1100 Military, Government civilian, and Contactor personnel, as well as 1000 recruits and family members.  Weekend activity includes 2500 reserve personnel. Gillem Enclave is what remains of Fort Gillem, which served as a major supply center serving Army needs worldwide beginning as early as 1917, in support of WWI.
