AI Contract Overview

The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking information from potential suppliers regarding the integration of fuel cell technology across its psychiatric centers to improve energy efficiency, enhance sustainability, and ensure backup power during outages. This initiative aims to evaluate the feasibility, capabilities, and cost-effectiveness of fuel cell solutions for multiple OMH facilities, with detailed site maps, electrical layouts, and energy consumption data provided in attached exhibits. The RFI is purely informational, with no immediate contractual commitments, and may serve as a basis for a future Request for Proposals (RFP). The contract, if awarded, would span five years and cover all OMH locations statewide, with a project size estimated between five and twenty million dollars. The procurement process does not prioritize MWBE, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, with participation goals set at zero. The technical documentation accompanying the RFI includes detailed electrical and utility site maps, single-line diagrams, and consumption histories for various OMH facilities such as Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center, Manhattan Psychiatric Center, Bronx Psychiatric Center, and others. These documents provide comprehensive insights into existing electrical infrastructure, potential fuel cell installation sites, and historical energy usage patterns, which are critical for assessing the integration of fuel cell systems. The data also includes technical notes on electrical distribution, site conditions, and utility connections, supporting a thorough evaluation of the infrastructure readiness and logistical considerations for deploying fuel cell technology across multiple locations. The primary point of contact for inquiries is Scott Ragone, Contract Management Specialist, with further details accessible via the provided online link.
