AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the procurement of eight Fuel Pressurizer Valves, identified by NSN 2915-01-230-9488 and part number 4062056, under a sole source, firm fixed price arrangement. The valves are classified as spare parts and are designed to maintain minimum pressure in the main fuel system, constructed primarily from Material Groups 12 and 17 as defined in Technical Order 00-25-113-F100-ENG. The item dimensions are 6.3000 inches in length and width, and 10.5000 inches in height, weighing 1.9000 pounds. Delivery is staggered: seven units must be delivered on or before August 23, 2027, and one unit by February 28, 2029, all destined for the DLA Distribution Depot in Oklahoma. The solicitation is not set aside for small business and is open only to pre-qualified sources who must have been formally approved prior to the proposal closing date; pending source approval requests will not delay award. First Article Testing is mandatory for newly approved sources, and each unit exceeds the $5,000 threshold, triggering Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements. The acquisition is part of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program and does not involve export control restrictions. Funding is not yet available, and the government retains the right to cancel the solicitation without obligation to reimburse any offeror costs. Electronic submission via www.beta.sam.gov is required, and hardcopies will not be provided. All inquiries must follow specified procedures, including submission of Source Approval Requests through DoD SAFE and communication with designated government contacts. An Ombudsman is available for confidential feedback during the proposal phase but does not influence evaluation. The Contracting Officer for this effort is Savannah Mincey.
