Online bids for the Furness Park Trail Phase 2 Improvements will be received by Nether Providence Township online via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com until 10:00 AM, on March 27, 2024. Bids will be publicly read aloud at the Commissioner’s Meeting on March 28, 2024 at 7:30 PM. Major items include 800 linear feet of trail construction with related work including pedestrian bridge. All Bid Documents, Construction Plans and Specifications are available online via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com at no cost to prospective bidders. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay PennBid Program a fee of ¼ % of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. Bids must include bid security in the amount of 10%. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification Act, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price.
