FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF A STAINLESS STEEL PROVER TRAILER

Middlesex County, through the Office of Weights and Measures, is soliciting bids for the furnishing and delivery of one Seraphin or equal fuel prover stainless steel trailer. The required trailer must feature a dual axle with 3500 GVW axles, rubber-cushioned independent suspension, and a bed measuring 60 inches wide by 150 inches long with an aluminum diamond plate deck and fenders. Essential safety and equipment specifications include electric brakes on all four wheels, a 50-foot grounding cable on a retractable reel, and a 10LB siliconized bicarbonate based dry chemical fire extinguisher. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder based on the total lump sum amount. The period of performance begins the business day following the award and must be completed within 120 days. Delivery is required as a one-time shipment, F.O.B. destination, to the Central Vehicle Maintenance and Repair facility in North Brunswick, New Jersey, and must be accompanied by the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin. Bidders must provide several certifications, including a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Statement of Ownership, and a Business Registration Certificate. The contractor is required to comply with non-discrimination laws, the Davis-Bacon Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, while adhering to the Middlesex County Qualified Business Enterprise Set-Aside Program. Payment will be processed via County voucher and approved by the Board of County Commissioners, with an optional prompt payment discount of at least 1% for payments made within 30 days.
