Bridgeton Public Schools is accepting bids from qualified Contractors to perform Painting Service throughout the District. Work will vary by location, and all locations are subject to change, and the Contractor shall not proceed at any location without first receiving permission from the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds. There is no construction involved in this scope of work. Painting Service is part of the definition of public works and is subject to prevailing wage law P.L. 2022, c.113. Current Projects The current painting projects are listed below but the contract will be for a painting services open contract to complete painting services throughout the school year. In regard to the old building, Lead Safe practices should be followed as a precaution. Additional projects will be subject to the markup rate in this bid, and a quote will be requested by the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds. Project 1: Broad Street First Floor Classrooms and Offices. Project 2: Broad Street Second Floor Classrooms and offices. Project 3: West Ave School all Classrooms. Scope of Work All walls will need to be sanded with orbital pole sander All door frames will need to be sanded and prepped All walls should be spackled and door frames caulked as needed All walls should be primed with Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer and top coated with two coats of Sherwin Williams Scuff Tuff Sherwin Williams 7029 Agreeable Gray or Equivalent All door frames should be primed with Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer and top coated with either Sherwin Williams Scuff Tuff or Sherwin Williams Pre Cat Epoxy latex or Equivalent (Sherwin Williams custom match color code can be provided) All labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete job must be provided by contractor Cleanup of all debris and dust is required to include covering of items (e.g. auditorium seats) Work will be scheduled with the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds. A walk through is recommended to all bidders. The Bridgeton Board of Education reserves the right to award the contract by project or by Lump Sum for all Projects depending on what is more advantageous for the district.
