FY20-11820, Small Arms Simulator

This acquisition, identified by solicitation number N63394-20-Q-0111, involves the procurement of nine small arms simulator systems designed to sustain weapon qualifications for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division. The contract was awarded as a sole-source procurement to Meggitt Training Systems, Inc. under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. Section 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, as the proprietary nature of the hardware and software ensured that only one responsible source could satisfy the agency's requirements for seamless compatibility. The equipment package includes screens, supporting software, fill stations with adaptors, and compressed air bottle assemblies. Specifically, the order consists of 45 FATS SRS Carbine Rifle M4 BlueFire weapon simulators, 45 M18 BlueFire weapon simulators, and 18 additional magazines for each weapon type. The agreement also provides for a one-year extended warranty following the initial 12-month warranty period.
