The U.S. Department of Defense, through NAVFAC Pacific, is conducting market research under solicitation N62742MPATTINDAL to identify qualified contractors for the construction of aircraft pavements at RAAF Base Tindal, Australia. The scope includes the build-out of concrete aircraft parking aprons and taxiways, expansion and improvement of existing taxiway infrastructure, application of compliant pavement markings according to AFI 32-1042 and ETL 04-02, and development of an access road with associated vehicle parking. The estimated project cost ranges between $25 million and $50 million, and the work will require the construction of at least 10,000 square meters of Portland Cement Concrete pavement with a minimum thickness of 300 millimeters and 10,000 square meters of Asphalt Concrete pavement with a minimum thickness of 50 millimeters. All prior experience must be demonstrated through projects completed or substantially complete—defined as at least 75% physically finished—within the last 15 years, and must have been performed directly by the offeror, not through subcontractors.
