The US Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, Nebraska, plans to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Rosemount Analytical of Solon, Ohio, for the procurement of an X-Stream Enhanced General Purpose Process Gas Analyzer (XEGP). The oxygen analyzer uses paramagnetic technology with a 20 to 21 percent measurement range and precision within ±50 ppm. The methane analyzer also employs IR bench technology with ranges of 0-500 ppm and 0-5000 ppm, maintaining an error band below ±10 ppm. Both the carbon dioxide and methane measurements provide fully linear outputs across the entire range. The analyzer is rack mountable, features three independent outputs and a local display, and comes with SureService startup and commissioning support. This equipment was selected following extensive research because it is the only analyzer that meets the required precision levels for O2, CO2, and CH4 quantification necessary for the Center’s specific applications.
