The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a commercial Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) on a sole source basis to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE). This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to GEAE, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GEAE, as the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM), has the design authority for Flight Safety Critical Parts (FSCP), proprietary technical data, experience, equipment and special skills to furnish the supplies or services within the required timeframe.
