General Carpentry Services

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is soliciting bids for solicitation number GD 26-55 to secure qualified contractors for general carpentry services across various facilities in Ohio, including transit centers, administrative buildings, and the Wright Stop Plaza Tower. The scope of work includes as-needed services such as metal stud and wood framing, installation and repair of hollow metal and wood doors and hardware, acoustical ceiling tile work, and specialized drywall installation. Work must be performed during normal business hours and coordinated to minimize disruption to public transit operations. The contract has an initial term of three years with two optional one-year extensions, for a total potential duration of five years. Bids must be submitted via OpenGov by November 3, 2026, and will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on price, experience, and financial responsibility. Required submission documents include a Buy America certification and a bid bond equal to 10 percent of the total bid amount. The successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds for the full contract amount and comply with prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon regulations. Additionally, the contractor must adhere to strict safety standards, including fall protection and PPE requirements, and comply with FTA regulations, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Title VI requirements. Payment is generally issued within 30 calendar days following invoice approval via purchase order.
