The General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking to lease office space in North Carolina, specifically within a delineated area encompassing multiple locations including Wilmington and Fayetteville. The desired space ranges from 7,544 to 7,921 rentable square feet (ABOA) and must be contiguous, preferably on the second floor or higher, though first-floor spaces may be considered based on security and remediation factors. The lease term includes a firm 10-year period with an option to extend up to 5 additional years, totaling a maximum of 15 years. The facility must be fully sprinklered, meet federal fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards, and must not be located in the 1% annual chance floodplain. Interested parties must submit detailed information including property name and address, floor plans, available square footage, tenant lists, ownership documentation or authorization to represent the owner, and contact details. Risks will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the DEA, which includes scrutiny of operational security and surveillance factors, potentially disqualifying properties. All submissions should acknowledge compliance with Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act regarding telecommunications prohibitions.
