Emergency Generators are key pieces of equipment in all the Custodial Lab Buildings, providing back-up power to health and safety systems within the buildings, and to critical lab equipment.
These generators has to be maintain on a regular basis to ensure they operate properly. Maintenance of the generators and of the associated fuel lines are also mandatory by law.
Competitve process required to issue a multi-year contract for the maintenance of the generators and the fuel lines for all the Health Canada custodial facilities in the NCR.
Reliability required:
1. The Contractor personnel requiring access to PROTECTED information, assets or sensitive
work site(s) must EACH hold a valid RELIABILITY STATUS, granted or approved by Health
Canada/PHAC or the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Services and
Procurement Canada (PSPC).
2. The Contractor MUST NOT remove any PROTECTED information or assets from the
identified work site(s), and the Contractor must ensure that its personnel are made aware of
and comply with this restriction.
3. Subcontracts which contain security requirements are NOT to be awarded without the prior
written permission of Health Canada/PHAC.
