Albert A. Webb Associates (WEBB) is seeking qualified small and disadvantaged business firms to provide geotechnical/materials inspection and testing services as a subconsultant for WEBB's proposal to the City of Hemet for Construction Management and Inspection Services for the Oakland and Santa Fe Waterline Replacement, CIP 5661, in Hemet, California. The project is funded in whole or in part through a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Community Grant. The anticipated subcontract scope includes material and compaction testing throughout construction, including identification of test locations and specified depths for roadway subgrade, aggregate base, trench backfill, pipe bedding, and trench bottom; initial sampling and acceptance testing of proposed materials; continued sampling/testing throughout construction; and preparation of a certification memorandum signed by a professional engineer identifying any non-complying materials. The overall project is anticipated to include approximately 210 construction working days. Subcontract award is contingent upon WEBB's selection by the City. The selected firm will be required to comply with applicable City contract requirements, insurance requirements, federal flow-down provisions, and applicable DIR/public works requirements. Interested firms should provide a technical proposal, fee proposal, and documentation of applicable small/disadvantaged business certifications.
