The purpose of the Inland Empire District ADA Fishing Pier Extension Project is to maintain reliable, year-round ADA-compliant fishing access at the lake despite significant seasonal and long-term water level fluctuations. The project is intended to ensure continued recreational access for visitors with disabilities, protect public safety, and uphold the parks commitment to equitable outdoor recreation opportunities.
To support design development for the pier extension and to ensure adequate structural and foundation recommendations, the project will include a geotechnical field investigation consisting of one engineering boring and one Cone Penetration Test (CPT) sounding within the area of the proposed pier extension. This investigation will occur upland near the shoreline and will not involve work within the submerged lakebed.
