The U.S. Forest Service, Wilderness Ranger District (Mimbres, NM), requires full roof replacement on three historic structures.


The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following deliverables:


  1. Complete replacement of the Big House roof with a historically appropriate metal roofing system meeting applicable code, manufacturer, and SHPO requirements.
  2. Complete replacement of the Smaller House roof with contractor-furnished synthetic cedar-look shakes matching approved SHPO appearance standards and meeting all applicable code and manufacturer requirements.
  3. Complete replacement of the Shower/Laundry Building roof with contractor-furnished synthetic cedar-look shakes matching approved SHPO appearance standards and meeting all applicable code and manufacturer requirements.

All roofing systems shall be fully weather-tight, code-compliant, properly flashed and ventilated, historically compatible, with new insulation, and ready for unrestricted Forest Service use upon project completion.
