Full Description

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on sole source procurement with I.M.P. Fishing Gear Ltd., 44 South Street, New Bedford, MA. The NOAA/National Marine Fisheries Science Center, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. 02543-1026 has a requirement for this vendor to construct 52 gillnets panels - 26 hung on the - and hung on the 1/3 in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. All of the panels shall be constructed using 0.90 mm green (Chatham Green) monofilament webbing. The nets shall have a mess size of #12 (30.5) and be 12 meshes high. All 52 gillnets float lines shall be hung with 3/8 diameter poly rope with five 1100lb weak links per panel spliced into the float line (5/16 poly with overhand knot) and 75lb lead core line (74lb per 600 ft. spool). In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered in CCR contact the CCR website www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Authority 41 USC 253( c )(1). The FSC for this is 2060 and the NAICS Code is 314999. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by February 11, 2009. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals. You must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government.
