The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to reconstruct approximately 4,100 feet of Gilman Springs Road from approximately 300 feet west of Kevin Road to approximately 100 feet east of Alessandro Blvd. in the Community of Badlands. Gilman Springs Rd is a two-lane road with a width that varies between 28 to 48 and is classified as an Arterial Highway in the County of Riversides General Plan. The proposed work will consist of removing existing Asphalt Concrete (AC), scarifying underlying material, perform moisture conditioning and recompacting of existing material, and paving back with new Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
The proposed project will also include:
Placement of safety edge
Re-striping of roadway, including pavement markers, rumble stripes and centerline channelizer
Salvage/removal of existing signs and installation of new signs
The proposed project will remain within the existing County right-of-way (ROW) and will not require any additional ROW. Temporary construction easements may be required for the proposed improvements.
