Gilman Springs Rd Reconstruction

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is undertaking the reconstruction of approximately 4,100 feet of Gilman Springs Road in the Community of Badlands, extending from 300 feet west of Kevin Road to 100 feet east of Alessandro Blvd. This arterial highway project involves removing existing asphalt concrete, scarifying underlying material, performing moisture conditioning and recompacting, and paving with new hot mix asphalt. Additional scope includes the placement of a safety edge, installation of new signage, and roadway re-striping featuring pavement markers, rumble stripes, and centerline channelizers. The work will be performed within the existing right-of-way, though temporary construction easements may be required. Administratively, the project is identified by work order ZD6-0053C and task code Z1530, with Frances Segovia serving as the Environmental Project Manager. The project is exempt from CEQA under Section 15301(c) as it does not expand roadway use.
