Glass Tabletop Fabrication and Installation

The City of Indian Wells is seeking qualified glass fabrication firms holding a valid C-17 Glazier license to fabricate and install custom 1/4-inch thick clear glass tabletops for two existing conference room tables at Indian Wells City Hall. The project requires the contractor to perform all field measurements, fabricate four glass sections per table with polished 1/2-inch beveled edges, transport the components to the site, install them with precise alignment, and ensure the work area is left clean. Any glass damaged during fabrication or installation must be replaced at no additional cost, and the contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and complying with Cal/OSHA and local regulations. The work will begin upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed, with performance expected to be completed within a timeframe defined by the City following award. A one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship is required. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the PlanetBids portal by August 29, 2026, and include a cover letter, vendor information form, non-collusion affidavit, workers’ compensation certificate, proposal submittal checklist, company qualifications, approach description, three project references, schedule, warranty details, and a lump-sum cost proposal. Only certified C-17 licensed contractors are eligible, and all bidders must hold a valid City of Indian Wells business license. Mandatory insurance requirements include $1,000,000 in general liability, automotive comprehensive, and errors & omissions coverage, with workers' compensation as required by law, all issued by A.M. Best A:VII or higher rated carriers admitted in California. Insurance must be primary, include waivers of subrogation and additional insured endorsements, and remain in force for three years post-completion. Subcontractors must meet identical requirements. The contract is expected to be awarded on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis, with failure to meet any mandatory requirement resulting in disqualification. The City retains sole authority to accept or reject work based on conformance to specifications and professional standards. Contracts must be executed within five calendar days of award, and payment will be made within 30 days of invoice submission. No federal accounting codes or electronic invoicing systems like WAWF are specified, and no UEI or CAGE code is required.
