GLO CDBG MIT-MOD Cardinal Dr. Drainage Improvements

Bastrop County is soliciting lump sum bids under solicitation number RFB26BCP07D for the GLO CDBG MIT-MOD Cardinal Dr. Drainage Improvements project. Located at the Alum Creek Tributary within the 100 block of Cardinal Dr, the project involves the demolition of two existing 48 inch corrugated metal pipe culverts and roadway, followed by the construction of two 8 by 5 foot rigid concrete box culverts with headwalls. The scope of work also includes the installation of erosion control measures, implementation of traffic control or temporary detours, grading, pavement repair, and overall site stabilization. Because the project area provides critical habitat for the federally endangered Houston Toad, the county will provide a permitted monitor and require all contracted personnel to undergo training by a Houston Toad Biologist before starting work. Contractors must adhere to all avoidance and minimization measures detailed in the biological resource notes of the project plans. Bids are due by September 29, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
