Golden Police and Fire Department Towing and Impound Services

The City of Golden is soliciting proposals for a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive 24/7 towing and impound services for the Golden Police and Fire Departments. The scope of work includes vehicle recovery, secure storage, and debris cleanup to support traffic management, emergency crash investigations, the removal of abandoned or illegally parked vehicles, and the clearing of special event spaces. The selected contractor must adhere to strict response time requirements, responding within 15 minutes for emergency or high-priority situations, 30 minutes for standard requests, and one hour for large or heavy-duty vehicle requests. Contractors must possess all necessary State of Colorado and City of Golden certifications, and all tow units must comply with Colorado Department of Transportation safety standards and P.U.C. 6506 equipment requirements. The agreement is a professional services contract subject to annual appropriation, with payments made on a time and materials basis according to a vendor-provided fee schedule. Required insurance includes comprehensive general liability with a 1 million dollar per occurrence limit, comprehensive automobile liability of 1 million dollars, and statutory worker's compensation.
