Goodyear Slough Invasive Phragmites Removal

The California Department of Water Resources is implementing the Goodyear Slough Invasive Phragmites Removal project in Solano County. The project focuses on a site of less than 5 acres, specifically covering 0 to 1 mile of slough upstream of the Goodyear Slough Outfall. The primary objective is to apply herbicide to invasive phragmites from 2026 through 2031, as needed, to reduce the density and encroachment of the invasive species. These efforts are intended to restore water conveyance capacity, improve water circulation and quality, and enhance wildlife habitat within the slough.
