GRASS MAINTENANCE

The City of Montgomery, Alabama, through its Building Maintenance agency, is soliciting proposals under solicitation 2026-RFP-051 for comprehensive grass maintenance services. The scope of work involves grounds maintenance for cemeteries and right-of-way areas from March to November, including biweekly mowing, edging, weed eating, debris removal, herbicide application on hard surfaces, tree pruning, and mulching. The contract is a Firm-Fixed-Price agreement with an initial one-year term, featuring options for two additional one-year renewals and a final possible six-month extension. Award selection is based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable methodology, with grass maintenance cost weighted at 100 percent. To be eligible, vendors must provide proof of E-Verify enrollment in compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act and obtain a City of Montgomery Business License prior to contract execution. Additionally, respondents must submit the MBE/WBE-1 Covenant for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise participation. The contract includes strict prohibitions against the use of certain telecommunications and surveillance equipment from covered foreign entities per Public Law 115-232. All proposals must be submitted as a single electronic file via the City's e-procurement portal by the deadline of August 13, 2026. Final inspection and acceptance of all services will be conducted by the City at the destination in Montgomery, Alabama.
