Grease Interceptor Pumping Services for VA Reno

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Network Contracting Office 21, has issued an intent to sole source a contract for grease interceptor pumping services at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno, Nevada. This action is based on the determination that only Waters Vacuum Truck Service is a responsible source capable of meeting the agency’s requirements, as justified under VAAR 813.106 and RFO 6.103-1(b). The procurement is being conducted as a commercial item acquisition under FAR Subpart 5.2, with the government anticipating a firm-fixed price contract that will run for a base year and four option years. Services include bi-annual pumping of a 5,000-gallon grease interceptor in March and September, and quarterly pumping of a 1,500-gallon interceptor in March, June, September, and December, all conducted between 0500 and 0730 on weekdays excluding federal holidays to minimize disruption to patient care.
