Full Description
Sealed Proposals for the construction of “Great Bend Waterpark for the City of Great Bend, Kansas,” JEO Project No. 242171.01, will be received by Logan Burns, City Administrator at 1209 Williams Street, Great Bend, KS 67530, until 2:00PM on the 20th day of August 2026, and thereafter will be read aloud.
The work is generally described as follows: Demolition of existing pool and existing pool mechanical building. Construction of new pool and new mechanical building with necessary adjacent site work.
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on August 4, 2026, at 1:00pm at City Hall 1209 Williams Street, Great Bend, KS 67530. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
A Site visit is scheduled following the pre-bid conference. Maps to the Site will be available at the pre-Bid conference.
All access to the Site other than during a regularly scheduled Site visit must be coordinated through the following Owner contact for visiting the Site: Logan Burns, City Administrator, (p) 620-793-4111, or email: lburns@greatbendkansas.gov. Bidder must conduct the Site visit during normal working hours.
The Project is fully funded through the City of Great Bend Quality of Life Sales Tax Fund.
Bidders shall submit one complete Lump Sum Price Proposal as identified in the Bid Form. All Proposals for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the Engineer and must be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than 5% of the amount bid. Bid Security to be made payable to the Treasurer of the City of Great Bend, Kansas as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses, to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith.
