Grinding at Mt. St. Patrick Site and Black Donald Site

The Township of Greater Madawaska has issued solicitation FA01-2026 for grinding services at the Mt. St. Patrick and Black Donald waste sites. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment and machinery to grind waste materials, including mattresses, box springs, chesterfields, and their contained light metals, to a diameter no greater than 6 inches. All work must be completed by December 18, 2026. Due to public access, grinding operations at the Mt. St. Patrick site are strictly prohibited on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays. Tenders must be submitted electronically by October 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The Township reserves the right to reject the lowest bid, as the lowest tender may not necessarily be accepted. To commence work, the successful contractor must provide proof of WSIB coverage and a public liability and property damage insurance policy with a minimum coverage of 5 million dollars per accident in the name of the Township.
