DISA/DITCO intends to issue a sole source contract to Ground Control Systems, Inc., 3100 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422-2544. This acquisition is for brand name BGAN MCD-4800 portable satellite hotspot kit and corresponding supporting equipment for U.S. Army South. Ground Control has proprietary rights to the technology for the Ground Control software/hardware associated with this requirement and is the only known source that can provide this hardware and software. No other vendor or distributor can legally obtain access to the Ground Control technology, and no other vendor can make duplicate copies since it is protected by copyright and patent laws. The requested delivery date will be from 60 days ARO. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed equipment must request a copy of the solicitation via email to meggan.a.reinier.civ@mail.mil. Responses are due by 10:00 A.M.
