AI Contract Overview
The contract calls for the provision of a ground penetrating radar (GPR) system designed to integrate smoothly with external Bluetooth-enabled GPS devices, featuring a built-in GPS pole adapter. The system must support Map Mode for tracking the operator’s movements and producing a bird’s-eye view of the survey area. It is required to place APWA color-coded marks on both 2D data and geo-referenced maps simultaneously, while also being capable of collecting and generating 3D scans. To maintain reliable communication between the tablet and the antenna in environments where Wi-Fi is unavailable, a rugged Ethernet cable is mandated. Both the GPR and tablet devices must have an IP65 rating to ensure resistance against rain, dust, and extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C (-4°F) to 40°C (104°F). This solicitation, issued by the Department of Defense’s FA5682 31 Cons unit, is identified under the solicitation number FA5682GroundPenetratingRDR and classified under NAICS code 334519.
