The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Firm Fixed Price Modification to existing Contract N0001920C0031 to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of mission kits, ground support equipment, spares, element communications gear, and additional required equipment in support of the MQ-9A Reaper unmanned air systems. This contract modification was awarded to GA-ASI in the amount of $13,068,808. This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."
