Growth Direct System Consumables

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity is conducting market research through a Request for Information and Sources Sought notice to establish a single award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for proprietary consumables used in the Government-owned Growth Direct System at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research’s Pilot Bioproduction Facility in Silver Spring, Maryland. The contract will provide environmental monitoring cassettes (Part: ET80-100) and environmental monitoring vision lids (Part: EMVL-100), both manufactured exclusively by Rapid Micro Biosystems, Inc., with each item requiring a shelf life of at least three months beyond the delivery date. Freight costs associated with delivery must be included in any proposed pricing, and all responses must come from vendors registered in SAM.gov under NAICS code 334516 with a valid Unique Entity ID. Respondents must also disclose any existing ordering vehicles under which they are authorized third-party vendors, such as OMNIBUS IV, CHESS, or GSA contracts. The anticipated ordering period is five years, with delivery orders expected approximately four times per year, based on operational needs. Responses are to be submitted as a capabilities statement or white paper, not exceeding three pages including graphics and appendices, in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format using 12-point font. Submissions must include a cover page with organizational details, SAM registration status, UEI, and list of ordering vehicles, followed by technical information demonstrating the ability to meet the Minimum Essential Characteristics for the consumables and confirmation of commercial market availability. Submission is strictly electronic via email to the designated points of contact no later than 11:00 a.m. EST on July 14, 2026. This notice is not a solicitation, does not obligate the government to enter into a contract, and does not guarantee future procurement actions. No evaluation will be conducted, no awards will be made based on responses, and the government will not reimburse any costs incurred in preparing submissions. All proprietary information submitted will be handled in accordance with applicable regulations, and no telephone inquiries will be accepted.
