CH-53K Program O-Level Bag: EAPPS Test SetThe Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, New Jersey plans to award a fixed-price, sole-source contract to SEAL DYNAMICS LLC for the acquisition of Engine Air Particle Protection Systems (EAPPS) Test Sets specifically designed for the CH-53K helicopter program. The initial contract will cover the purchase of three test sets to support the domestic NAVAIR CH-53K Program, with options for two additional units to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) CH-53K Program and two more for the domestic program. This sole-source procurement is justified under FAR 6.302-1 due to the unique requirement for this particular support equipment, which is only compatible with the CH-53K aircraft, and the lack of available data rights that would permit competition. Additionally, Donaldson Company Inc., the manufacturer, has no authorized distributors for this product, reinforcing the necessity for direct procurement from SEAL DYNAMICS.
