AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of 44 units of a "Guard, Lock Ring Handle" (NSN 5342-01-162-5289) with delivery expected within 170 days after contract award. The solicitation is issued by the Department of Defense's ASC Supplier Operations AE and AF Division, with the place of performance in New Cumberland, PA. Quality and technical requirements are governed by the Defense Logistics Agency’s master list of standards, including specific provisions for inspection and acceptance at origin, tailored higher-level contract quality requirements for manufacturers and non-manufacturers, and packaging guidelines. The contract emphasizes the inclusion of cybersecurity standards, namely requiring a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 certified third-party assessment organization. Additional stipulations address the control and safeguarding of technical data, which is subject to export regulations under ITAR and EAR, prohibiting unauthorized dissemination to foreign nationals without prior government authorization. Contractors must comply with DLA-imposed training and certification requirements for handling export-controlled technical data to access such information. The contract excludes the need for item unique identification by service request but retains obligations for physical identification and marking of bare items. Removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies and the protection of covered defense information as per DFARS also apply. The primary point of contact is Keanna Banks at DLA, and the solicitation response deadline is May 28, 2026.
