Guardian Angel Advanced Personal Water Craft (PWC)

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written request for offers is attached. Solicitation No. FA8629-08-R-2395 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-25 effective 25 April 2008. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) is soliciting quotes for the purchase of Advance Rescue Craft systems (to include training and logistic support). An Advance Rescue Craft system consists of one modified personal watercraft, one tow trailer, and one towable buoyant rescue sled attached to the personal watercraft. These systems will increase the capability of U.S. Air Force Guardian Angel forces to meet maritime rescue missions during combat search and rescue operations. In addition, ASC is soliciting quotes for a subsequent purchase of up to fifty-seven (57) personal watercraft, twenty-nine (29) tow trailers, and fifty-seven (57) rescue sleds in the event funding becomes available in the near future. These components must be available for delivery within 30 days of the order. Respondents to this Request for Quotes (RFQ) should submit offers for Advance Rescue Craft system components listed in the attached Standard Form 33.
