Special notice of intent to award to: Information Engineering Technology, Ltd, Duckmead House, Farleigh Wick, Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, BA15 SPU, UK. The Defense Logistics Agency Information Service requires a renewal of GuardIEn Maintenance and Support. Specifications are as follows: ITEM DESCRIPTION QTY 0001 GuardIEn Annual Support and Maintenance, Silver Support level, plus XOS functionality, 20 users Period of Performance required is 01 Oct 2012 through 30 Sep 2013. If there are any other firms who can satisfy this requirement, please submit a proposal by 4:00 pm ET, September 20, 2012. No phone calls please, email questions. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1, there is "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Information Engineering Technology is the owner of the software and is the only known source that can provide this support and maintenance. GuardIEn is a configuration management tool that is tightly integrated with the CA Gen product. CA Gen is an enterprise development suite that has been used to create part of the DLA Disposition Services DAISY application and DLA Logistics Information Service ERLS application. It provides development and configuration management enhancements for CA Gen that improve overall productivity of the development and CM teams. Additionally, the project management teams are able to determine and control, if desired, the state of development changes as they move through the lifecycle from request to deployment. Use of toll reduces the license costs for the CA Gen configuration management seats that would be required without it. Additionally, we are able to share this product across multiple DLA installations (Battle Creek and Ogden). This allows enough work to ensure expertise remains high through use. Information Engineering Technology is the only company that offers software of this type.
