Guatemala - Hybrid Photovoltaic Solar System

The acquisition seeks the design and implementation of a single hybrid solar system for the Office of Immigration Assistance in Valle Nuevo, Jutiapa, Guatemala, to ensure uninterrupted power for critical immigration and border control operations, which rely on approximately 3,000 kWh of energy per month from computer systems, servers, lighting, and administrative equipment. The system must include photovoltaic generation with monocrystalline HPBC/TOPCon solar panels rated at 550–580 W, 21.3–23% efficiency, 144 half-cells, and a 1500 V DC maximum system voltage, mounted on a tempered glass and anodized aluminum frame with an IP68 junction box, capable of operating in temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. It must be paired with a lithium battery bank and a three-phase hybrid inverter, integrated with the existing electrical grid to mitigate frequent voltage fluctuations and outages common in border regions. The project is a firm-fixed-price contract with a strict 60-day completion timeline from the notice to proceed, requiring all work to be fully installed, tested, and operational within that period.
