Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and PMA 251 Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) program office are interested in supporting an asset installed/maintained on Expeditionary Airfields (EAF) which is currently unsupported due to obsolescence issues. The purpose of this Request for Information is to determine feasibility and industry interest in the manufacture and procurement of Guidance System Guide Rail. The Guidance System Guide Rail is designed to interlock at an AM2 mat edge to aid in the anchoring of multiple mat rows of the expanse to the subgrade underneath. It is also used at airfields where movement of the AM2 mat due to thermal expansion, ranging gradients and heavy aircraft trafficking are common. Interested parties may submit technical literature/brochures on their products or solutions that meet the requirements as set forth in the basic requirements list included herein. Rough Order of Magnitude pricing may be submitted for Government information and planning purposes. Companies may also provide any other relevant information to assist in the refinement of the Guide Rail Guidance System requirement to the Government. Eligibility The NAICS Code is 332312 with a size standard of 750 employees. All interested businesses are encouraged to respond. Requirements A notional procurement would be for quantity 400 each Guidance System Guidance Rail as identified in Attachment 1, NAVAIR Drawing 509087. Note: please use dimensional requirements for Part No. 509087-1. Drawing Notes include a specification that has been revised; QQ-A-200/8 has been cancelled and replaced with ASTM B241. Please provide a notional delivery schedule. Submittal Information and Instructions The Government requests interested companies submit documentation to address the following information: 1. Company Name and Address; applicable CAGE code, company point of contact and position along with contact information. 2. Company profile to include number of employees, annual revenue history, office location(s), DUNS number, and a definitive statement of current small/large business status. 3. Manpower to include the number of company employees and applicable skill sets. Interested companies are invited to submit a Capabilities Package of no more than 3 pages in length, single spaced, 12 point font minimum. The Capabilities Package will be used to determine a company's ability to meet the requirements in Attachment 1 and the information requested in the Capability Package Submittal Information and Instructions 1-3. The Government may subsequently opt to conduct company site visits to further determine eligibility and capability. Please note that this Request for Information is not a request for proposal. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and Government is not obligated to award a contract as a result of this announcement. The Government will NOT reimburse companies for any expenses incurred to prepare the Capability Package Submittal Information.
