The Government plans to award a sole source purchase order for the Carl Zeiss Spectrum 1000 Coordinate Measuring Machine Calypso Curve Iges RDS CAA software along with its maintenance care contract, exclusively from Carl Zeiss IMT, Corp. This procurement supports the 311 Human Systems Wing/PKBA, specifically for the 311 HSW/YAPT Lab, which currently uses this proprietary software to meet mission-critical requirements. The contract is issued under NAICS code 334519 and falls under the Department of Defense, with the agency located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The procurement follows Subpart 6.302-1 (b)(1), allowing for other than full and open competition due to the unique nature of the product.
