This contract will facilitate the acquisition of a Handheld Position Navigation & Timing (PNT) capability utilizing Military Global Positioning Service (GPS) User Equipment (MGUE) Increment II technology. Building upon the M-Code receiver form factors developed in MGUE Increment I, Increment II focuses on advanced, security-certified M-Code receivers that enhance resilience in contested environments. M-code is a new military signal transmitted by GPS satellites that is more secure and resistant to jamming than the previous P(Y) code. This handheld solution will replace legacy Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module Defense Advanced GPS Receivers, which utilize P(Y) code that are currently fielded to the Fleet Marine Force.
