Mechanical thinning on 2922 acres in Apache County in coordination with NRCS, Apache County NRCD, AACD, and permittee. Continuation of ongoing fuels reduction and restoration work being completed. This agreement meets the intent of the following SO: SO 3419 Delivering Emergency Price Relief for American Families and Defeating the Cost of Living Crisis. The contract will meet this SO by creating job opportunities for Arizona and locally based partners, companies, businesses, and individuals during the implementation of the treatments. Also meets Secretarial Strategic Priorities: Enjoy our national resources while ensuring they remain sound and sustainable and Collaboration and coordination results in better outcomes for the Nation, States, and the people. Meets BLM Fuels Program priorities due to the treatments occurring in the priority USGS WUI Layer and Hazardous Fuels Reduction in areas of WUI High fire risk. Also meets the following BLM Fuels program priorities: Reduce Fire Risk and Protect Communities, Restore and Maintain Healthy Ecosystems, Enhance Fire Adapted Communities, and Increase Wildfire Resiliency. Also meets the following Strategic Approaches: Landscape Based Management, Integrated Treatments, Partnerships and Collaboration, and Data Driven Prioritization.
