The bids will be publicly openedand read aloud at 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 237 E. LocustStreet, Suite 406, Angleton, TX 77515. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled forWednesday, May 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Suite 249 of the Brazoria County WestAnnex Building, 451 N. Velasco Angleton, TX 77515. Opening will beavailable via Zoom. Approximately2,718 LF of Hastings Circle will be reconstructed from Hastings Rd to 500 FTeast of Webb Rd. Theproject will also consist of approximately 2,297 LF of Chigger Creek Dr fromChoate Dr to 2,297 FT south. Approximately1,931 LF of Choate Dr will also be replaced from 450 FT east of Hastings Rd tothe Chigger Creek Dr intersection. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specificationscan be found online through Bonfire at https://brazoriacounty.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=login or at theBrazoria County Purchasing Department at 237 E. Locust Street, Suite 406,Angleton, Texas 77515. Abid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable suretyshall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. Acertified check or bank draft payable to the (name of City/County) ornegotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of theBid Bond. The project to be constructed willbe financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S.Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant -Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federaland State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not lessthan, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wagerate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contractdocuments, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful biddermust ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminatedagainst because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genderidentity, or national origin. Adherenceto the Brazoria County Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts. Allcontractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred)prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to thecontractor. Minority BusinessEnterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. BrazoriaCounty reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive anyinformalities in the bidding.
